Washoe Dept. of Water Resources (DWR) proposing that certain wells be reconditioned.
Further discussion regarding water rights acquisition. DWR staff cautiously stated that the ordinance language is not clear if water rights can be acquired with the Golden Valley Account.

Golden Valley faced with declining ground water levels, opted with the Dept of Water Resources to recharge their aquifer with water currently leased from the South Truckee Meadows Water General Improvement District (STMGID)

Golden Valley faced with declining ground water levels, opted with the Dept of Water Resources to recharge their aquifer with water currently leased from the South Truckee Meadows Water General Improvement District (STMGID)
Now, with monthly fees and conservative use of water, the administrative account has accumulated a considerable cash reserve. The GVPOA is looking into the possibilities of acquiring there own water rights, using some of the cash reserve and private funds. More > |
